Ozzy Osbourne, who has sold over 100 million albums as a lead vocalist of Black Sabbath and as a solo artist, will see his vocals and imagery from his instantly-recognisable hits feature on the new slot. The Prince of Darkness rose to prominence in the 70s performing as a lead singer for the heavy metal band Black Sabbath. Since then, he has become one of the world’s most iconic musicians.
Ozzy’s appeared on the small screens in the TV sensation called The Osbournes. The show kicked off in the 2000s and portrayed the life of the legendary musician, his wife Sharon, and his two kids Kelly and Jack. Soundbites from the show are also expected to be a part of the new slot. This isn’t the first Osbourne slot that appeared on the casino scene. Namely, the first Osbourne edition was launched six years ago but was not readily available to customers of elite online casinos.
The title will add to the NetEnt rock slot series, which includes Jimi Hendrix, Guns N’ Roses, and Motorhead.
‘Rock stars don’t come much bigger, better known, or charismatic,’ Bryan Upton, NetEnt Director of Game Products, said when announcing the new slot. ‘Thanks to his larger-than-life personality and outstanding contribution to music, Ozzy has developed a loyal and passionate following over the past 50 years. We can’t wait to bring this to the reels for players to enjoy.’
Slot Details
The Ozzy Osbourne slot is a 5-reel, 20 payline game, playable from 20p to £100. The available betting range means that it’s well adjusted to appeal to the taste of gamblers of all calibres. The visuals are nicely designed in the 1980s comic book style, with dark, gloomy, and sinister backdrop. The reels are placed at the entrance of a temple guarded by two demons with the Ozzy Osbourne logo.
While spinning the reels, you’ll hear various guitar clips of original Ozzy tracks such as Bark at the Moon and Diary of a Madman. The low-value symbols include cross clubs, skull diamonds, rose spades, and black crow hearts.
The four high-paying symbols are all portrayed by the Dark Prince himself, with the bloody Ozzy Osbourne symbol being the most rewarding of them all. Should you land five of these on a paytable, you’ll be up for a hefty reward of a 50x your total stake.
The game is also jam-packed with features. Before you start your slot session, you must decide whether to use the Bonus Bet Feature or not. If you do, then each spin will cost you twice as much playing. But in turn, you get to play with several benefits like increased bonus frequency, hit frequency, as well as increased multiplier values. If you land two Scatters simultaneously in the base game, you will trigger the Re-Spin feature during which you can benefit from the Symbol Charge-Up feature triggered on every spin.
Closing Thoughts
Fans of Ozzy will get on the hook right away for the familiar imagery and music, while fans of branded titles will appreciate the style of the game. The payouts seem quite rewarding here, with a theoretical possibility of winning 10,000x, as the NetEnt’s datasheet suggests. If you’re a fan of slots based on rock stars, then Ozzy Osbourne slot will undoubtedly get you the kick you need. If not, you can always try out NetEnt’s other rock-themed titles like Guns N’ Roses or Jimi Hendrix.
