Global Gaming Expo Asia Puts the Spotlight on Asia and its Gaming Sector this May 2017

Trade shows and expositions are great opportunities for stakeholders to meet, explore and understand the latest news, trends and updates within the industry. And this is one of the most important events in the iGaming industry, offering stakeholders with a chance to network and connect with like-minded individuals, and talk about latest productions and services. In the most important trade shows and expositions, the latest games and software developments are unveiled as well.

In the last few years, majority of these trade shows and conferences are hosted in the major cities in Europe and the United States. Today, a different kind of trade show and exposition for iGaming is planned out, and this is expected to be hosted outside Europe and the US.
For 2017, The Global Gaming Expo Asia were hosted in Macau this May 16 to 18. This is an interesting trade show and exposition not just because it will give stakeholders and clients a sneak peek at what’s in, rather this event is important because it puts the spotlight on Asia, and the status of iGaming within the region.

One-Stop Sourcing Platform for Asia, Hosted by American Gaming Association

This conference and convention is aimed to bring together the stakeholders of internet gaming and casino entertainment and casino operators in Asia. The event is designed to link providers and suppliers to casino operators in Asia to come up with responsive casino products and services. Every year, it is estimated that 95 percent of all casino operators that are based in Asia attend the conference in the hope of discovering the latest casino products, services and technologies that may prove helpful in delivering casino services. The convention is also planned as a networking event for the stakeholders of the casino industry in Asia. It is expected that more than 120 future technology leaders will attend the event, and will be a source of insights and inspiration for casino operators. And through the years, the event is hosted in Macau, considered the heart of casino entertainment in Asia.

The international casino gaming trade and convention is focused on the Asian market, and is run by the American Gaming Association or the AGA and the Reed Exhibition, as an attempt to bring together industry stakeholders. This was first hosted in 2007, and has grown into an important gaming trade show in Asia. The American Gaming Association is the main organization that represents the $240-billion casino industry of the United States that generates 1.7 million jobs.

G2E Asia 2017- Conference Overview

Aside from a platform where casino operators, vendors and stakeholders can meet and network, the conference is also designed to inform and educate. The participants of this convention can expect a report on the current status of the Asian casino market, and current market projections. Industry leaders are invited to talk on the subject to inform the participants regarding the state of the casino industry in Asia. For the purpose of this conference, the keynote address will be given by Mr. Francis Lui, the Deputy Chairman of Galaxy Entertainment. This keynote address will be given on Day 1 of the conference. In the afternoon, there will be an Asian Markets Update, and this is expected to kick-start the conference, with the Managing Director of Morgan Stanley taking the podium. They will be joined by industry analysts who will share news and industry insights.

The conference will also hold a special plenary session that will focus on fraud and security threats and risks in the casino segment. Security is not just a concern for players and members of the casino – security is a lingering problem as well for casino operators. Here, industry insiders and security specialists will talk about the best practices that can be adopted by casino operators on how they can address these threats.

There will also be an Asian Markets Forum that is tasked to assess the current issues that affect the casino industry, particularly in countries like Singapore, Macau and the Philippines. Also, PricewaterhouseCooper (PwC) will focus on Japan, putting this Asian country in the spotlight. The company will explain why Japan is considered as the next best thing in the casino industry. It is projected that Japan will generate billions of dollars in revenues, making this as another important casino destination in Asia. The talk will also focus on the ‘Osaka Strip’.

G2E Asia 2017 is planned with Asia’s casino industry in the front and center. Here, the invited speakers will focus on the future of casino entertainment and gaming and help casino operators build a better business. The recent trends and developments in the industry will be highlighted not just to boost revenues, but drive tourism as well.
