Inspired by the Norsemen of early Scandinavia, Vikings was designed as a historical drama, and was written by Michael Hirst, specifically for the History Channel. This TV show follows the story of Viking Ragnar Lothbrok, a notorious scourge for France and England, and considered a legendary Norse hero. The TV show was a hit when it was first introduced to the viewers, and was known for grand production, and was filmed in Ireland. Now this grand TV production will soon see action on the slot screen, thanks to the latest initiative of NetEnt to come up with a Vikings slot game. According to Henrik Fagerlund, the TV show has become a favorite when it was first released in the market, cornering a significant chunk of the audience. The TV show is considered a classic and a historical drama piece, and the company is looking forward to its release later this year. It is expected that this new slot game will take inspiration from the adventures of Ragnar, and will also include a number of invasion features and official footage from the TV show.
